MINISTRY NEWS                                                                       JULY-AUGUST 2004

It is hard to believe that it will be 2 years this month since we first moved to South Dakota.  Thank the Lord for using you to send us and keep us here.  Thank you for your prayers concerning our revival meeting that ended on June 30th.  The Lord worked it out, with some help from the CLA, for us to have an old-fashioned tent revival in one of our public parks.  God used Pastor Jeremy Simpson, and the youth groups from both Walter's Grove and Bright Light Baptist Churches in a tremendous way.  The people of our church were encouraged greatly and have more of a heart for revival than ever before.  To God be the glory!, 5 souls were saved under the tent.  Among those saved was an 82 year old Catholic woman, 2 Indian men, and 2 precious Indian girls that attend our church regularly.  We still hope to see more souls saved as a result of the meeting.  Many had the opportunity to hear the gospel for the first time.  Our biggest attendance was 120 on Monday night.  I am still rejoicing over what the Lord did in our hearts.  With the help of the youth groups, we passed out somewhere in the neighborhood of 4,500 John & Romans in just a couple of days.  Thanks to Colonial Baptist Press in Charlottesville, VA for providing those for us.  This enabled us to do as the early church in the book of Acts did, filling this area with our doctrine.  Now our next goal is to do as the Church was later accused; to turn "the world upside down" for His glory and honor.

We are now getting geared up for VBS which will be held the last week of July.  We really need your prayers because this will be the first one that we have done by ourselves.  Pray God will give us wisdom, power, and patience.

FAMILY NEWS

We are so thankful to be blessed with a Christian home and are grateful to be in the ministry together.  Hannah will be 6 years old on July 29th.  Really help us pray that she will turn to Christ the first time He convicts her heart and shows her that she needs a Savior.  Melanie and I will celebrate 7 wonderful years of marriage on August 2nd.  As far as I am concerned, we are still on our honeymoon.  Praise the Lord!

PRAYER REQUEST

Please continue to pray for more souls to come to know the Lord Jesus Christ.  Also for the growth of the new converts.  As I say so many times, thank you for your faithful prayers, support, and special gifts.  We will never know until we reach that golden shore the rewards that await you for your faithfulness to the Lord's work here in South Dakota.  I am glad we all have a part in it.  Isn't the Lord good!

Blessed Beyond Measure,
