MINISTRY NEWS                                                                            MARCH-APRIL 2004

The Lord continues to do a work in the lives of people here in Pierre.  The Sunday before last we came a little short of our previous attendance record, having 60 for the Sunday morning service.  I preached that morning on "Who Is Jesus Christ."  The Lord really met with us in a special way.  When the invitation was given the alters filled up and a ten year old girl named Dawnelle came and found out for herself who Jesus is when she called on His precious name and asked Him to save her, hallelujah!  This past Sunday was just as exciting when on Sunday evening I baptized 3 people, one of whom being the recently converted Catholic lady, Kathy, that I mentioned in my previous letter.  We did not get an exact count but I am sure that there were no less than 80 people there for this service.  Among those in attendance were many Protestants, a few Catholics, and even some Seventh Day Adventist.  I then preached unto them Jesus, the one who will save them from their dead religion, and an eternal burning hell!  I know that for many of those present this was their very first time hearing a clear presentation of the Gospel.  Although no one trusted Christ that night, I am confident that we are going to see some fruit in the coming days.

It is hard to express just how excited that I am about what the Lord is doing.  This is a joy that we can all share together, for we are but laborers together with God.  For everyone that supports the Lord's work here, either by prayer or financially, or both, has a part in what God is doing here.  I am so thankful for what the Lord has done up to this point, but we have no time at all to let up.  We need to be busier than ever knowing that our Lord's return is eminent, and we must reach everyone that we can before it is everlasting too late.

FAMILY NEWS

We are enjoying the Lord's work together.  It is nice to know that Spring is coming soon. Temperatures have already been up towards 60, until this weekend, and we had a snow storm come through, dropping several inches of snow.  One thing we have learned about South Dakota weather is that if you do not like it, all you have to do is wait a few minutes and it will change.  I will be turning the ripe old age of 28 on the 16th of March.  Then, on April 19th, Melanie will be a quarter of a century old.  It is good to be young and in love.

PRAYER REQUEST

Foremost we must thank the Lord for the prayers He has already answered.  Then continue to pray for God to keep working in the hearts of these people for His name's sake.  Please pray also that the Lord will help me to disciple the saved and train leaders so that River City Baptist Church will be a strongly grounded, Christ-honoring work.

Because of Calvary,
