MINISTRY NEWS                                                                              MAY-JUNE 2004

Greetings once again from the Heartland.  I hope that this letter finds you enjoying the rich blessings of our Lord.  To God be the glory!  We have seen a couple more souls saved since our last letter.  A man named Ken drove in from a town 30 miles away to come church on Sunday and heard a clear presentation of the Gospel for the first time in his life.  He came back again on Wednesday and heard the Gospel message again.  He left after the service and came back about five minutes later.  When I asked him what he needed he looked at me like I was foolish and said, "I need to get saved!".  I said,"hallelujah!".   He called on God and was gloriously saved.  I was discipling him and he was excited about getting baptized once it got warm, but due to a job situation he moved to Iowa.  That sounds a little disappointing, but he was excited about getting closer to his family and the prospect of winning them to the Lord.

Two days after Ken got saved I received a phone call from a seven-year old girl in the church named Jenna.  She just wanted me to know that she asked Jesus to come into her heart, and that she was saved.  My heart was overwhelmed with joy. Her parents testify of the change that they have seen in her life.  Sometimes we have a tendency not to get as excited about a child being saved.  However, when we look at it in the right perspective, we see that not only has the Lord saved her soul, but He has also saved her life.  God has also blessed her with a Christian home to be raised in.

I would like to send a thank you from the depths of my heart and on behalf of those that have either been saved, or are now growing like never before due to a steady diet of sound doctrine.  Thank you for sending us here, helping us stay, and helping us saturate this area in prayer.  I truly hope to see thousands of South Dakotans saved before Jesus comes.  We want to fill the area with the truth and see it turned "upside-down" for Jesus.  We have a big God that is able to do big things, so I see no since in praying small.  May we all believe Him for great things.

River City Baptist Church also just had its first Missions Conference.  It seems as if our people really got a hold of faith promise missions.  The Devil fought hard that week like nothing else, but you the way that it goes; our God is mighty in battle and He will prevail and get the victory, hallelujah!

Help us pray about a meeting that we are having June 27th-30th.  Pastor Jeremy Simpson of Walter's Grove Baptist Church in Lexington, NC is coming to preach, and bringing his youth group, as well as the youth group from Bright Light Baptist Church of Concord, NC.  There will be about 45 people in all.  I am now trying to move the meeting to a public park and turn it into a tent meeting.  I want thank both Walter's Grove and Bright Light Baptist Church for being willing to come half-way across the country for Jesus' sake.  Do pray for traveling grace and mercy for them.  Pray also that the Lord will move like He has never moved in South Dakota.

His Unworthy Servant,
