Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour. After Hurricane Katrina, I began to ask the Lord to give me a verse to help answer those that would ask us about our plans. The Lord gave me 1 Thessalonians 5:24. The same God that called us to southern Louisiana a year ago is still more than able to take care of us. The desire that burns within our hearts to get to the field is only accelerated by watching the thousands of people on television in need. Yes, they need food and aid, but what they need more than any of these things is a Saviour. They need someone to tell them about Jesus. That is exactly what God has called us to do and by His good grace, we desire to do it now more than ever.

Praise
The Lord has been so good to us over the past several months. We have seen more churches take us on for monthly support. In the month of August we had the privilege of being in a missions conference at Berean Baptist Church in Ellenwood, GA. One of the things we were able to do is ride a bus route that Sunday morning and tell those boys and girls about the great need to reach our community and world for Christ. This was a great reminder of the need to go and reach the world for Christ.

The month of September looks to be a busy month for our family. We are excited about the meetings the Lord has given us. We are especially looking forward to Macedonia’s 35th Annual Conference. It is being held at our home church, Canaan Baptist Church, this year from September 18-23. For more information, log onto the Macedonia website. I encourage you to attend if you are at all able.

Prayer Requests
Please help us pray that we would continue to share our burden with those we present our work to. Currently, the hearts of many are soft concerning southern Louisiana. Pray that they will see the spiritual needs of the people as well as the physical needs. We are also praying about a possible survey trip back to southern Louisiana in the month of November. Help us pray that God would give us wisdom concerning the city that He would have us to start our first work in. We also have dates in 2005 that we are still trying to fill. Help us pray about filling those dates and also beginning to fill 2006. Help us pray that our calendars will be full so that we may get to the field that much faster. We are still praying for a video projector that we could use with our lap top to share a video presentation. These are expensive. Help us pray that the Lord will provide us with one so that we may use it to better share our burden.
