MINISTRY NEWS
Greetings from the the hot high plains of South Dakota.  As with most churches summer is an extremely busy time in the ministry here.  We kicked off early June with VBS.  What a joy to plant the seed of the gospel in the hearts of children, who otherwise would have never heard.  By the end of June another one of Cody's friends named Gabe trusted Christ as his Saviour.  I am glad to see some teens getting saved.

In July we hosted the Mid Western Baptist Camp Meeting for the third straight year.  My how the Lord did meet with us during those days.  On the first morning of the meeting Gabe's twin brother Wayne got saved.  That was the start of a remarkable week.  There was eternal help received by God's preachers and people throughout the week.  On the final night of the meeting one of the men of the church named Jeff Vollmer answered God's call to preach.  Thank you for helping me pray that the Lord would raise up South Dakota preachers.  I am excited to see how the Lord is going to use Jeff and his dear family.  A special thanks to Dr. Thomas Wensil for being obedient to the Holy Spirit as he preached nightly, also to the Roger Mullins family for preparing the food and providing special music, and to all that supported the meeting and let the Lord work through their lives. 

As soon as we wrapped the camp meeting up we took a load of kids to Wyoming for youth camp.  The Lord graciously met with us during these days as well.  It is always a joy to see God getting a hold of the hearts of young people.

We just had our second baptism of the year on Sunday.  Among the three baptized were my precious Hannah Gail and Katelyn Joyce, what a blessing! 

On August 6th I will be preaching the first night of a two week tent meeting in Watertown South Dakota.  The goal is to start a church with those that God saves and brings to the meeting.  Please pray for Bro. Lamar Whittemore in this endeavor.

FAMILY NEWS
Hannah turned 9 on July 29th, and Melanie and I celebrate 10 years of marriage on August 2nd.  We have now spent half of our married life on the mission field.  Believe it or not it has been 5 years since we first moved here.  The Lord has been so good to us.

PRAYER REQUEST
Pray that Jesus will use us to reach & teach more souls for His names sake.  Pray for us as we instruct and train Christians to get the church strong in the Lord and mighty in the scriptures.  I do want to start other works, so pray for wisdom and direction.
