Church Planters in Arizona

Greetings from the White Mountains of Arizona. Since our last letter we had our church dedication services . What an exciting day! We had 56 in attendance, with many visitors. Bro. Larry Adams from N.C. came along with two other Pastors and one missionary. We also had seven Mormon’s from the area to attend. They made it a point to be there for the dedication. In the past couple of weeks we have had nine people to join the church. This has been a great blessing to the church. Two of the brethren that joined now go visiting with me and Nathanael. We are still having visitors from the community. It has made a difference being in the building.

We do have a special object of prayer. We do not have enough Sunday School space. When we built the building two rooms were planned and one of those being a nursery. Since we moved into the building we have now out grown the Sunday School space we have. This is a good problem to have. Just this past Sunday we had 42 in attendance and 13 teens were in one Sunday School room.

This class can meet outside while the weather is good. But once the weather changes we will have to do something different. We would ask you to be praying, this is a urgent need. We never expected this to happen this fast. Pray that the funds will come in for this building project. In July the young teens of the church had the privilege to attend a good Christian Camp in Silver City, NM. They came back refreshed and committed to the Lord. We have seen a big change in the young people. It was a joy to have Dr. Dean Hamby and Karen with us in July to do our missions conference. The messages were a blessing to each of us and the church people.

Since our last letter, our oldest son Isaiah was married on June 23. We would ask you to be in prayer for him and his wife Christy. Seems strange to have one to leave the nest. But we gained a daughter too. Sandy and kids are doing fine. They just started the school year. Nathanael is in 11th grade and Michelle is in the 8th grade. Sandy has been busy with the garden and canning. The garden did not produce as much this year. She has canned what veggies we got, as well as fruits we purchased. We are still under drought conditions and our monsoon’s did not bring us as much rain this year either.

We would like to thank you for your faithful prayers for us and the ministry here in Vernon, Arizona. We appreciate your financial support and for all your kindness. Continue to pray for the Quintana Family.

Yours in Christ,

Luther, Sandy, Nathanael, Michelle
