Dear Pastor & Friends,
Hello again from the White Mountains of Arizona. Hope each of
you are doing well. First of all we want to apologize for our news
letter being so late. We usually try to get them out at least every
two months. Things have been extremely busy here for us. Also our
computer has given us problems, we are back up & running now.
Update on the Vernon Tavern As of July 17th, the Vernon Crossroads
Tavern is a thing of the past. The Lord has answered our prayers
concerning this. PRAISE THE LORD!!!! At the county meeting in St.
Johns, the board voted it down with a NO!!!. Then the owner stood
and withdrew all her other applications at that meeting. This has
been a long drawn out battle but it is over. We do appreciate all
your many prayers concerning this.
Church News Things have been extremely busy. During the month
of June we had Vacation Bible School for a week. We done this in
the morning hours. We used our church older teens , some adults,
and Bro. Joel Howard, a missionary’s son came up from Tucson
and help us. Bro. Joel was called to preach about year ago. He was
a great help and blessing to us during this week. We had a record
high of 44 children. We had 3 classes in the church & one class
was held outside. There was three young girls, that was saved during
this time. On the last day of the VBS, we had a cook-out and invited
the parents, to attend. We had around 65 people show up for this.
The VBS was a big success. It was a blessing to see our young teens
work, & teach and a great experience for them. Also during June
we took 7 teens over to the Gila Christian Ranch, in Silver City,
NM. The teens have been going over there for camp for the last several
years. They were gone for the week. On the following Sunday Night
the teens stood, & told the church, how the Lord had dealt with
them during the camp & what a blessing it was for them to attend.
The church is doing good. Our attendance has been up & down.
A lot of people are on vacation & in/out of town. Aimee Hernandez
just had another surgery on her leg. This time was to do some repair
work to the knee replacement from a year ago. She is still cancer
free at this time.
Family The family is doing fine. We are now in our monsoon season
of rain. We have seen some good storms, but it is still extremely
dry here. Our garden got off to a bad start. Sandy had to replant
everything. We are hoping to get a good harvest, time will tell with
the weather. Nathanael graduated from school on June 10th. We held
the services at the church with a good turn out. He is presently
working with Insight Electrical . He has been with them for over
a year and training in the field. He is helping us in the ministry
of the church, and praying for God’s will for his life. Michelle
is preparing now to start 10th grade. Things will be strange around
here only having one in home school. Michelle presently has 3 students,
taking piano lessons from her. She is also still taking lessons herself.
She is starting her 8th year of music. Michelle just recently got
braces, so she is adjusting to this. Hopefully everything will be
corrected in about 2 years with her dental. We just celebrated our
25th year Wedding Anniversary. Time goes by very fast. Yesterday,
we had a situation with Nathanael . He had been running a very high
fever since Sat. Eve on and off. But no other symptoms. Then yesterday,
he started spitting up blood. We rushed him to the ER in town. After
the test, they found out a blood vessel had ruptured on his tonsil.
And he also has a case of tonsillitis , but no sore throat. He seen
the family Dr. this morn, and with another follow up on Friday. This
really gave us a scare. We do want to thank you for the cards we
have received recently for birthdays & anniversary. Your kindness
is most appreciated. Thank you for your faithful prayers & supporting
the ministry here in Arizona. Each of you make up a part of this
ministry with your prayers & giving financial. May the Lord Bless
each of you. Continue to pray for the Quintana’s
Yours in Christ,
The Quintana Family
