Dear Pastor & Friends,
Greetings in the name of Christ and Hello from the White Mountains
of Arizona. The testimony of the Apostle Paul seems to show the
handy work of God at work. Although I meet so many people whose
life’s are in the shambles. I then tell them about Saul of
Tarsus, some look at me as though I have lost my mind, others with
unbelief. Yet praise God for those who believe. His testimony proves,
that our Lord is in the life changing business. Each time I look
in a mirror I see grace in all its power at work in my life as a
Christian.
The update on the Vernon Tavern. Since our last letter and the
last meeting with the County Board of Supervisors, once again the
situation was tabled. The owners are not meeting the conditions
for approval. We just made a phone call to the Board… we are
being told, until the owners meet the conditions, there will be
no Tavern. But with this still being tabled with the board, it is
still left open with no time line on it. Please still keep this
in your prayers. We do not want to put our guard down. We know the
devil wants that Tavern there, but with God’s people praying
we can stay ahead. We will keep you up dated by letter and email
as anything may change on this situation. So keep praying.
The church is doing good. From time to time we have some new people
to visit. Would ask you to be in prayer for some of our church families,
they are going through some trials now in their life’s . And
it’s been a battle field for them. We are preparing now for
Vacation Bible School in June. Our older teens will be helping out
in this . We just had a Spring Ladies/girls luncheon we had 17 ladies
& girls to come for this. This is always a blessing for the
Ladies. Our plans are to still add on to the church. We presently
have some plans to present to the County . Be praying this all goes
smoothly.
In our last letter we had reported that we were in drought conditions
here, and in need of moisture. Shortly after that letter, we had
a blizzard to hit that left us with 42in of snow. It was a struggle
for a few days dealing with that much snow at one time. The snow
drifts were up to 5 feet and more in places. We were very thankful
for that moisture. But with us already behind in moisture, the snow
did not help much. We are in very dry conditions, and the fire season
is upon us. The rainy season (monsoons) will not be here till in
July. Continue to pray for rain for our area.
The family is doing fine. We are almost finished with the school
year. Which Sandy is looking forward to the time off from school.
Nathanael will be graduating on June 10th. We are preparing for
the graduation. We are almost ready to plant our garden. So this
will keep us busy .
We do want to thank each of you for your many prayers, and supporting
the ministry here in Arizona. Each of you have a part in this ministry.
Continue to pray for the Quintana Family.
Yours in Christ,
The Quintana Family
