Dear Pastor & Friends,

Hello from the White Mountains of Arizona & Greetings in the lovely name of our Lord. Time is passing by so fast, we are already into July. James said that our life is “even as a vapor that appeared for a little time, and then vanisheth away.” As I look around, so many people need Christ. Most of the people I talk to are not at all concerned about their soul. Life like a vapor, here and then gone. I know the only thing that is going to matter is what we have done for Christ. I ask the Lord to help me, to be soul conscious. People think everything is alright when in reality it is not alright. We live in a day and age, people are not concerned at all where they will spend eternity.

A few weeks ago, during the invitation. A seventy-eight year old lady came forward weeping. As I dealt with her at the altar with much prayer and reading the scriptures, God gave her the assurance of her salvation. While talking and rejoicing she said she wished her husband could hear the message as well as she did. Please pray for this dear lady’s husband. I am not sure if he really understands you need to have a true commitment to Christ. Since that service this lady comes to church with the glow of Christ in her life. What a blessing to see this dear lady come down the isle and make her way to an old fashion altar. If others would only follow her example.

Church News
Prayers have been answered !!! We now have our building permit. This will be for the much needed addition of more Sunday School rooms. We are making plans now to have Craftsmen for Christ to come & help us in September. We have a lot to get done before Sept.

Vacation Bible School
We had a wonderful VBS this year. We had Bro. Joel Howard come from Tucson to help us again this year. Bro. Joel is out of Pleasant View Baptist and the son of Pastor : Bill Howard. Bro. Joel done a wonderful job again this year. We used our teens and some of the adults to teach and help this year. We had some wonderful skits that went along with the theme for the VBS each day. There was a great turn out, and on the last day, we had the parents, grandparents to come see what the children had been doing. The seed was planted in these children during that week.

Prayer
Several of our older people in the church are having to battle some health problems. Some are not able to attend the services as they one time did.

Family
The family is doing fine. It has been really dry & hot for us here. Unusually hot for the mountain this year. Several wild fires are currently burning in the state of Arizona. Our monsoon “rainy season” should be coming in any day now. We are looking forward to the rainy weather & this will help our garden to grow. Michelle will be starting the 11th grade this year and also still taking piano and she is also now teaching piano. Sandy has been busy with preparing for the new school year and doing some of those summer projects that needs to be done. We have some special objects of prayer, please pray concerning this. We do want to thank each of you for all your many prayers for us and for the ministry here in Arizona. We appreciate your faithfulness in supporting the ministry. Always continue to pray for the Quintana family. Special thanks for the birthday cards for Sandy-7-13, & for our anniversary on 7-16. Thank you.
