Missionary to Massachusetts

Dear Friends in Christ,

——It is hard to believe another couple of months have passed since our last letter. There are a lot of things going on so I will jump in right away with some of the details. First of all, we say "Thank You" for your continual prayers and support. My family and I realize your faithfulness is our "life support" the Lord uses to accomplish His great work. We pray God continues to bless you in your service for Him.

——Looking back over the last several weeks, the Lord has truly blessed the work here in Massachusetts. In April we were privileged to host several men from Walnut Cove, NC. Pastor Gary Blalock brought four men to help us work on the building (and eat some chowda!). Our people appreciate the great work these men accomplished while they visited. We finished the week with a Friday Night Jubilee meeting. With a few other churches traveling in to support the meeting, all total we hosted over 100 people in the meeting that night. Bro. Todd Bell from Maine and Bro. Gary Blalock from NC preached great back to back messages.

——As we have just finished up the month of May, the Lord continues to bring first time visitors. There were two people who were baptized on May 20th. Please pray for these two, Trisha and Maurice, that the Lord will continue to work in their lives. I had previously written of several who have been saved and are now coming forward to be baptized. We had to postpone the baptisms due to getting the baptistery set up in the new location.

——Looking forward, we have a very busy summer ahead of us. We will be busy with some more work on the building. Our visitation time will be more active since the nice weather has finally arrived. It has been very difficult juggling work on the building and visitation. Praise the Lord we are getting more hands for the labors. Coming up in July, there will be a youth group arriving from New Hope Baptist Church of Walnut Cove, NC. Pastor Blalock is bringing his youth for a week of visitation and soul-winning. Lord willing, we will conclude with a youth meeting. PLEASE pray for the week of July 7-14 as we work to reach the youth of Lynn. A quick note, there are over 11,000 children between 5 and 15 years of age in Lynn, MA. Someone needs to reach them before the drugs, gangs, and cults do! Concerning the media ministry, we have upgraded our outreach. We are looking to reach into more cities with the video of our church services. Some of the cities are now charging $25.00 per year to air a 30 minute broadcast each week. This is still minimal recognizing the hundreds of thousands who are connected to cable in these surrounding cities!!

——In concluding, I would like to remind everyone of camp meeting time just around the corner. Reservations need to be made now if you plan to attend. All the information is listed at www.newenglandbaptistcampmeeting.com. The dates for the meeting are August 1, 2, 3, 2007. This is the first Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday of August. The meeting will be 9am until 12pm, Baptist history tour in the afternoon for those interested, and 7pm until 9pm each day. For the best rate in Boston during the meeting, you must call the Red Roof Inn at 1-800-874-9000 and give the confirmation number B3050000203. This rate ($72.99 per night) is good for all week in case you want to come early for a New England vacation before the meeting starts. You have until July 14th to make your reservations with the Red Roof Inn. The motel is 15 minutes from Boston, the airport, and the camp meeting. It is a very nice place to stay. We will be running a bus to the Logan airport for those who fly to the meeting. If you have any questions, please call the numbers below or email me at ryearwood@newhopeoflynn.org.

In His Service,
Bro. Rick Yearwood & Family
